What we offer

Lantern Trips creates personalized travel guides delivered as digital documents to your email. Each guide is researched and written based on the trip details, dates, pace, preferences, and constraints you share through our intake form.

Lantern Trips is a custom travel guide service. We are not a travel agency, tour operator, insurance provider, official travel advisory body, or booking platform.

Orders and payment

  • All prices are listed in euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes.
  • Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of purchase.
  • An order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate trip details. We rely on the information you submit when creating your guide.

Delivery

  • Standard guides are delivered to the email address you provide, typically within 24-48 hours of payment.
  • Premium, multi-city, or unusually complex requests may have a different delivery timeline if agreed with you in writing.
  • If you do not receive your guide within 48 hours for a standard order, contact us and we will resolve it.

What you get

  • One custom travel guide for one destination, up to 7 days, unless we agree a different scope with you.
  • The guide is for personal use only and may not be resold or redistributed.
  • Your guide may include links, maps, route estimates, venue pages, restaurant pages, booking pages, and other third-party resources for convenience.
  • We do not book, reserve, purchase, hold, manage, or cancel travel, accommodation, restaurants, attractions, transport, tours, or experiences on your behalf.

Travel information and changes

Lantern Trips researches each guide using information reasonably available at the time the guide is created. Travel conditions can change after delivery, including transport schedules, strikes, closures, opening hours, ticket rules, prices, hotel policies, restaurant availability, weather, local rules, safety conditions, and official entry requirements.

You are responsible for checking final details directly with official sources and third-party providers before and during your trip. This includes bookings, transport times, opening hours, prices, passport and visa requirements, health requirements, travel insurance, local laws, and official travel advice.

We are not responsible for changes, cancellations, delays, closures, price changes, availability changes, or decisions made by airlines, train operators, hotels, restaurants, attractions, tour operators, booking platforms, local authorities, or other third-party providers.

Using your guide

  • Your guide is a planning aid, not an instruction to visit a place or take a route in all circumstances.
  • You remain responsible for your final travel decisions, personal safety, budget, bookings, insurance, and compliance with local rules.
  • Maps, walking times, transit notes, and route suggestions are estimates. Always check live conditions and use judgment on the ground.
  • Recommendations should not replace official advice, emergency instructions, medical advice, legal advice, or safety warnings.

Refunds and cancellations

  • If your guide has not yet been started, you may request a full refund.
  • For standard guides, if we deliver later than 48 hours from payment, you get a full refund and may still keep the guide.
  • If you use your guide on the trip and it does not hold up, email us within 14 days of your return date and we will refund you in full.
  • Our refund guarantees are in addition to any consumer rights that apply to you by law.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights if a digital product or service is not supplied, is faulty, or does not match what was agreed.

Limitation of liability

We are responsible for creating your guide with reasonable care and skill based on the information available to us and the details you provide. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lantern Trips is not liable for indirect, unforeseeable, or third-party losses arising from travel decisions, travel arrangements, provider changes, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
